COVID-19 testing

Free COVID-19 testing is available regardless of immigration or insurance status. Altius operated sites in partnership with King County Public Health are intended to serve communities disproportionately affected by COVID 19 or who cannot access a COVID-19 test through their regular healthcare provider.

Health Authorities urge you to test if you feel sick and have symptoms of COVID-19

Get tested right away, even if you're vaccinated. Early testing is important to help prevent COVID-19 from spreading to friends, family, and the community.
COVID-19 Symptoms:
  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
What you'll need to get free testing
  • A photo ID with your date of birth. Testing is available regardless of your citizenship/immigration status.
  • Insurance card. If you have insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid, you must provide this information and the lab will bill them. You will not be charged for the test.
  • A well-fitted mask. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status at all indoor AND outdoor testing locations.

Registration assistance
If you need help with registration, call Altius Institute call center between 7 AM to 7PM PM PST at 206-267-1096.   If you need in-language assistance, please tell us in English the language you need, we will then connect you with an interpreter.
You do not need to create a Solv account to schedule a free test. You will receive multiple confirmation texts from Solv. Tap on the link in the text to complete online forms before you arrive for your free test. Please note: Due to privacy reasons the online forms will be blank. If you already entered your insurance when you scheduled your free test, there is no need to enter it again.
Visit the testing site
The process will take about 15 minutes. Wear your face covering when visiting the site. After the test, remember to save the paper of the QR code or take a photo of the paper that is given to you at the test site. Here's an example of the QR code:
Get your results
Your results will be ready in up to 72 hours. You will receive a text notification when your results are available.
Access your results directly by focusing on the QR using the camera application on your phone or visit the  Altius Testing Results Portal  and enter the 16-digit retrieval code and your date of birth on the page.
If you lose your 16-digit retrieval code, call Altius Institute call center between 7 AM to 5 PM PST (Mon-Fri) at 206-267-1096.
